Nine men, nine panels; each unique in his strengths and interests, but bound together now to stitch our Aggie hearts as one. A memorial sculpture honoring the eight students and one instructor from the College of Agriculture who died in a tragic accident in the fall of 2005, was unveiled in Utah State University's Taggart Student Center in March. Composed of black granite, bronze and steel, the sculpture features a 3–feet–by–3–feet panel depicting what agriculture meant to each individual man. And in one corner, visitors can take a piece of paper and make a rubbing of the following names–never to be forgotten: Steven D. Bair, Dusty Dean Fuhriman, Justin W. Gunnell, Justin Huggins, Jonathan Dennis Jorgensen, Curt A. Madsen, Ryan Wayne McEntire, Bradley G. Wilcox, and instructor Evan Parel Parker. USU students Jared Paul Nelson and Robert Petersen were the only survivors of the accident. The TSC's Juniper Lounge serves as the temporary home to the memorial, until it can be relocated to the planned College of Agriculture research and teaching building.
